Last Friday, Paul joined Stewart Henshaw and Sarahjane Widdowson for Integrated Skills’ latest webinar which explored all things carbon. The discussion focused on a range of topics from carbon basics and key targets, to fundamental questions regarding carbon management and local authority services.

FRM are currently engaged in a number of projects which involve the measurement of carbon from waste management activity, these include:

1. Several procurement exercises looking at carbon measurement (collection, residual waste treatment and street cleansing).
2. Two strategy projects, each for two tier authorities, which measure carbon outputs from different collection systems.
3. A national research / evidence project on carbon measurement which looks ahead to 2035
